Dear CHC Family,

I’m thrilled to report: the Center for Hearing and Communication in lower Manhattan is now open to help you, with our full array of services, following power outages from Superstorm Sandy. In fact, we’re extending hours for walk-in visits to the hearing aid dispensary to catch up with any and all urgent hearing aid-related needs. Anyone in the NYC area can take advantage of CHC’s walk-in services for urgent, hearing aid-related needs. Please spread the word!

This week, you can come for walk-in services from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily (November 5 – 9, 2012) in addition to our regular dispensary hours.

A couple of issues remain with the building infrastructure at 50 Broadway — as of this posting, there’s no heat. So it’s a bit chilly inside, but not too bad! Furthermore, our phone lines are down. Please use the contact us or make an appointment forms to get in touch. If you need to reach us by phone, call (973) 879-8935, a temporary line you can use until the problem’s fixed (which we hope will be by tomorrow, November 6).

I hope all of you are making full recoveries from the storm as well.

Warm regards,

Laurie Hanin, Ph.D., CCC-A
Executive Director
