Hear Me Out
The Millennials Make Their Mark
A number of local young professionals, many of whom were pediatric CHC patients, and others who were passionate about hearing and accessibility issues, created the Hear Me Out hearing loss advocacy and outreach group. In its first year, Hear Me Out conducted two successful and popular events to raise funds for CHC while working to increase awareness about hearing technology, reduce stigma around hearing loss, and inform event participants about the dangers of noise to health and wellbeing. This dynamic group is poised to make an even bigger impact in the coming year.
Join the Young Professionals Group at the Center for Hearing and Communication (CHC) in New York. If you are 21-35 years of age, interested in the CHC mission (to improve the quality of life for people of all ages who are hard of hearing or deaf), want to get involved in raising funds by holding fun events, like to socialize and network, then this is the group for you! People with and without hearing loss are invited to take part.
We’re just starting out so you can help shape what this group is and what type of events it will hold. Meet other like-minded people who are energetic, dynamic and willing to use some of their time in helping out CHC’s cause. We’re open to your ideas!
