Choosing and learning to use assistive devices and accessories
To help with more challenging listening situations and hearing losses, and to keep people with hearing loss safe and independent, CHC offers accessories and assistive devices, as well as the specialized orientation or training required to use them effectively.
CHC offers free training and demonstrations to learn to use visual or motion alerting devices like alarm clocks, doorbells, and smoke detectors, and assistive listening devices that facilitate communication or give you better access to media.

Assistive Devices Living Room at CHC
Inside our NYC clinic, a comfortable demo “living room” holds a huge variety of assistive listening and alerting devices for you to try in this home-like environment. Each Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. CHC offers free, group demonstrations of assistive technology. Walk ins are welcome, but you confirm ahead of time by calling 917-305-7766 or emailing us.
