Free hearing screenings 7/11, 7/18, 7/25 + 8/8
New York’s nonprofit hearing health leader, the Center for Hearing and Communication (CHC), is offering free hearing screenings this summer at the Greenmarket in Union Square.
The public is invited to get a free hearing screening aboard CHC’s Mobile Hearing Test Unit 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on four Mondays this summer starting July 11, 2016. The screenings, which are conducted by a licensed audiologist, take just five minutes and provide valuable hearing health information. No appointment is necessary. Specific dates are July 11, 18, 25 and August 8.
CHC recommends an annual hearing screening
Hearing plays an important role in keeping adults healthy and safe. Studies have shown that untreated hearing loss puts seniors at greater risk for depression, falls and developing dementia. Addressing our hearing problems, however, can keep us healthy and connected to the world around us.

Could you send me your 2017 schedule when its determined?
Thanks for your inquiry regarding free hearing screenings. We do not yet have our 2017 schedule of free mobile hearing screening prepared, so I can’t give you that information. But I can tell you that we’ll be offering free hearing screenings at the NYC Walk4Hearing September 25 in Riverside Park. The mobile unit will be at the corner of 97th and Riverside Drive from 9AM to 1PM. Alternatively, we offer free hearing screenings every Wednesday and Thursday at our office at 50 Broadway in Lower Manhattan. They are by appointment only. You can use this link to request a free screening. http://chchearing.org/appointment/ I hope that’s helpful.
