Kate E. Salvatore, MD

Psychiatrist

Dr. Kate Salvatore is a board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist with more than 20 years of experience in the field of mental health. She wears bilateral cochlear implants and has been deaf since birth. She grew up oral but has a basic understanding of ASL since her 20’s. Dr. Salvatore’s relationship with CHC started in 1993, when she moved to NYC to attend medical school. At that time, she became an active member of “The Link,” a deaf and hard of hearing social group co-created by Carolyn Ginsburg Stern. Kate formed close ties with members of that group that left a deeply lasting and positive impact on her life. Kate is thrilled to be a part of the CHC family.
