Sara’s therapeutic approach focuses on helping clients explore and understand their past, recognize and build on their present strengths, and develop and work toward their goals for the future. She uses an intersectional perspective that makes space for clients to bring all parts of their identity to sessions, including age, gender identity, sexual orientation, cultural background, and other important aspects of the Self.
Sara earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from New York University in 2022. While at NYU, she interned at Allwel Cares providing virtual psychosocial support services to individuals in Buffalo and New York City, and at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy in their student counseling center. She also previously worked at CHC as a receptionist from 2014-2019; it was in this position that she developed a passion for working with people who are d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing, and she is thrilled that her career path has brought her back to continue working with these communities.
