Summer program for children with hearing loss
Hear in the Big Apple
The Center for Hearing and Communication and CampedUP have collaborated to create Hear in the Big Apple – a special summer fun and enrichment program for children, ages 3-10, with hearing loss. It’s an unforgettable experience for children who use cochlear implants and/or hearing aids – an opportunity to play, learn and grow in the Big Apple!
Unique summer fun + enrichment experience
What makes Hear in the Big Apple so unique is that it combines the social interaction and fun of camp with intensive oral habilitation therapy. That means your child will have the time of his/her life while continuing to develop the listening and spoken language skills so critical for success in the classroom and on the playground.
Best of all, families visiting from out of town – and around the globe – will love how the program incorporates the iconic sights and sounds of New York City.
Hear in the Big Apple is staffed with a team of multidisciplinary professionals experienced in providing support for your child’s listening and spoken language development.
