CHC celebrates 108th birthday!

Empowering people with hearing loss since 1910

Laurie Hanin, Ph.D., CCC-A Executive Director

The Center for Hearing and Communication (CHC) proudly celebrates 108 years of hearing health care of the highest caliber for people of all ages affected by hearing loss, deafness or listening challenges. Our services for infants, children and adults are as vitally important today as they were when we began our journey in 1910.

The work we do with children – helping them learn to hear and speak with the aid of amplification – is particularly meaningful. Our pediatric program involves years of intensive listening and spoken language therapy, but we think the results are worth it. Our parents would agree, too.

Check out this special birthday video featuring some of the kids in our communication program. Hear them react to the news of our 108th birthday and then honor CHC with a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday. The honor has been ours.

CHC’s clinical programs are possible only through the generous support of our donors. In fact, 50% of our operating revenue each year comes from contributions by individuals, corporations and foundations.
